REVIEW IN ENGLISH:
SOURCE: ROOTS MUSIC Reggae & Dancehall
AUTHOR: Teacha Dan

Dutch reggae and dancehall backing band's first album release. Produced by Dub Dynamic for Urban Dub Records.

We already know that there are some wicked reggae bands in the Netherlands and yes here's another one, all real instruments with a horn trio as icing on the cake. Not all tracks are their own compositions but who cares, all tunes rock with percussion and horns, and are unmistakenly Poor Man Friend's. The only thing I do not understand is why DJ Papeman gets so homophobicly worked up in falla fashion style on 'Boom Bwoy Batty', the Dutch context shouldn't provide reason for such utterances.

The fact that the band does not really have a front man (the singers and DJ's come and go) does not take away from the pleasure of play. The band already has a very high live standard and now we only have to wait to see the band perform with one Jamaican star or other.
