| 2010.07.16 | news | Chaka Demus & Pliers sue Universal Music Group; The world's beat known dancehall duo Chaka Demus & Pliers, known for their 1994 worldwide hit records 'Murder She Wrote' and 'Tease Me' are suing Universal for unpaid royalties in exces of 10 million US dollars. | 2010.07.11 | news | Sugar Minott dies; Yesterday, Saturday the 10th of July, Lincoln 'Sugar' Minott passed away at Kinston's University Hospital of the West Indies. He suffered from a heart condition named Angina Pectoris (see news entry 2010.05.08) and he cancelled his shows from May this year. He is survived by his wife Maxine Stowe, daughter Fire Pashon and granddaughter Destiny. Please read the Associated Press article here. |
